Cybele Erdek
Board Member
Cybele is a Board Member of Casa Sulis. She was born in the United States but grew up in Panajachel, Sololá, Guatemala. In the last 50 years, Cybele has seen firsthand the struggle and the abuse the street dogs in Guatemala have experienced. She has always loved animals and has helped make their lives easier by feeding stray dogs, nurturing abandoned puppies, and caring for sick or hurt dogs, cats, birds, or any animal that crosses her path and needs help. She is happy to be part of Casa Sulis because it has given her the opportunity to advance the health and safety of street animals.
Cybele wants to help the local community of Santa Cruz La Laguna, who sometimes are struggling to support their own families. She wants to find a way to help them keep their pets and bond with them. She understands that it’s a big job, but she’s up to the challenge. Cybele believes that Casa Sulis not only will succeed as an organization but will set an example to other communities and start a movement of caring for the lives of all living things.
Cybele lives in Miami, Florida, with her son and cat, Ash.
